IT IS IMPORTANT YOU READ THIS PAGE IN FULL AS IT COULD AFFECT THE AMOUNT YOU WILL GET PAID, by using our services you agree to ensure your device(s) meets this testing criteria.

Each mobile phone or device sent should match the make and model in the order and meet the following conditions: All accessories and chargers should be sent with all devices apart from mobile phones, only mobile phones which are new should be sent with in complete with all accessories. To qualify for the full price your device must meet the requirements below if your devices fails to meet the criteria below we will revalue your device and offer a revised price which you will have the option to reject and have your device returned at a nominal cost*.

We check all orders for fraud, if any of our fraud indicators are triggered, we will carry out extended verification checks which MAY delay your order. If you fail our verification checks we will terminate your order and send your device(s) back to the address provided when you placed your order.

 

Brand New, device should;

  • Be brand new in box
  • Be supplied in pristine condition
  • Be complete with all accessories
  • Never have been Used or even handled
  • Have zero usage Timers (both Data & Voice)
  • Be in pristine packaging, no dents, rips, labels, writings, markings or any other imperfections
  • Be as per delivery from manufacturer, not opened and must be sealed if applicable.
  • Be in the original manufacturer box
  • Be unlocked we may offer a revised price if your device is locked to a particular operator/network however we will allow you to contact your operator and request the unlocking code in order receive the agreed price.
  • If you have an Apple device with iOS7 or above, you must make sure you remove your account from the device by following our iOS7 Removal Guide.
  • We reserve the right to reject any order where we have a strong belief that the device you are sending to us may be owned by a third party. (EG. Any device sold by EE since the 26th March 2014 will belong to EE for the initial 6 months) All owned devices sold to us will be paid for 50% at point of sale and 50% in 8 months time.

 

Working, device should;

  • Power on and off to the home screen beyond any welcome notes
  • Be fully functional/operational
  • Have all features working in perfect order
  • Have a working LCD/touch screen that is intact, has no missing pixels, screen burn,cracks, dents, spills or any other imperfections.
  • Include the original battery enclosed within the phone casing
  • Not have any physical damage such as cracks, dents, nicks, paint or finishes peeling off.
  • Not have any significant damage - by way of example only, damage classed as significant includes (but is not limited to) broken, cracked or scratched LCD screens; camera function not working or camera damage; buttons missing from the phone or other keypad damage; excessive scratches, cracks or dents; snapped hinges; charger port not working; microphone damage; earpiece damage; or software which is faulty or defective.
  • Not have any scratches visible from an arms-length distance or have more than 10 scratches upon closer inspection with regards to smartphones, there must be no scratches upon the screen/display at all. A scratch is any imperfections which is greater in length than 1mm.
  • Not be reported as lost or stolen
  • Not be barred/PIN locked, user password locked or have any other user set password or security which prevents full operation of all functions.
  • Appear in our online guide
  • Be of UK or GSM European specification
  • Not show signs of repair or attempted repair, any manufacturer security seals must be present and not tampered with in any way.
  • Not have any stickers, labels or other attachment on the device not have any residue left behind.
  • Not have any signs of liquid contamination or have any liquid indicators triggered.
  • Be made of original parts as manufactured by the manufacturer, we will offer a reduced price should we find any third party or non genuine parts in your device. All parts of the device must be of the original colour and not a combination of colours.
  • Not have any personalization on the device be it physical on the device or within the software.
  • Be unlocked. We may offer a revised price if your device is locked to a particular operator/network however we will allow you to contact your operator and request the unlocking code in order receive the agreed price.

Faulty is a device which may have faults or damage and not work correctly but must be able to be repaired by ourselves or any other manufacturer approved facility, the device should/can

  • Include the original battery
  • Not be crushed or in pieces
  • Power up or show signs of powering up it should not be completely dead, if we are able to bring your handset back to life we will pay the faulty price.
  • Should not be B.E.R (Beyond Economical Repair) we do not accept any devices which we are unable to repair, any non-repairable devices will be given a scrap value.
  • Not show signs of repair or attempted repair, any manufacturer security seals must be present and not tampered with in any way.
  • Have signs of liquid contamination or have any liquid indicators triggered.
  • Examples of faulty devices includes, those with broken Lcds, displays or digitizers, have cracked or broken housings, button don’t work etc, corrupt but repairable software, or any other fault which we or an manufacturer approved facility can repair.
  • If you have an Apple device with iOS7 or above, you must make sure you remove your account from the device by following our iOS7 Removal Guide.
  • Non-working devices can take up to 5 days to process. This is because we need to inspect and diagnose all faults before we can judge if it can be repaired economically. We will process it as soon as we can and will email you when testing is complete.
  • Samsung Devices - In order to qualify for the faulty price the LCD must be working, the glass above the display can be broken or missing but the display itself must function correctly. If the LCD is not working we will pay approx 50% of the faulty price.

 

Fails to meet Requirements- Regardless of what condition you send your device in you will receive zero value if any of the following apply to your device and it will be classed as Scrap. (We may however offer a price if we are able to salvage parts from your device)

  • Physically broken in more than one piece
  • Does not power up and is completely dead
  • Broken/Cracked/Snapped hinges
  • IMEI or serial numbers are missing, tampered with, not matching, or changed.
  • SIM glued in
  • Memory card glued in
  • Severe Liquid ingress or damage as a result of liquid being in the device at some time.
  • Must have the original operating system must not be missing, corrupt or modified, eg jail broken, rooted etc
  • Bent circuit board
  • Not a Genuine Product, eg counterfeit
  • Logged on the IMEI blacklist register**
  • Barred by a network**
  • Locked to an Apple Account (iOS7 Activation Lock).

 

Note: If the device has the IMEI printed on a part that needs to be replaced we may have to class this as beyond economical repair (BER). For example some devices have the IMEI printed on the back case. If we have to change the back case this means the IMEI on the outside would not match the one printed on the inside, which will cause problems when we come to re-sell it.

The above lists are not exhaustive and we reserve the right to amend this list at any time. When we inspect or test your phone, we will not pay as much as the original, indicative value if we find that your phone does not comply with all these conditions.

 

OTHER CHARGES- which may apply to your order

1. *Return postage charges will apply; these charges include the postage, return insurance, packaging and handling cost of your device and is currently £5.00.

2. We will remove all user set security such as passwords PIN codes etc where present in order to allow us to test the device at a charge of £10. If we are unable to remove passwords/PINs etc you will be offered a revised price. Please ensure you remove before sending us the device.

3. We are unable to reassess or test any devices after our initial evaluation has been done and should you not accept or agree with any revised price if offered you will need to reject the revised price and pay the postage for the return of your device.

4. By sending your device to us, you will agree to sell the device for a price that reflects the condition of the device applied by us and not necessarily the amount displayed. To find out more please review our Terms and Conditions.
